The best thing is that I have been able to immerse myself into my field of passion and discover that I would like to dedicate myself to research. It has been fantastic to talk to so many people that share the same interests as me, and be able to discuss and give my own point of view of things.
Besides, I have enjoyed learning about the process behind a publication, and also getting some promising results for the future. I take with me so many new friends and colleagues which have made my summer one of the most special.
It has impacted me in many different ways, allowed me to deepen into the world of research and make me realise that this is what I would like to continue doing in the future. It has also given me the chance to be at the forefront of biomedical research, and appreciate the efforts put into research.
I also noticed teamwork and cooperation are very much needed to produce great things, and it is when many minds work together towards an objective that the best things happen. Thanks to GenRes I have been able to experience and learn about things that are not taught in any degree, and will be incredibly valuable in the future.

That their contributions and donations are meaningful for people like me, who have a passion for research, and were eager to have that first research experience. Many doors are opening for us thanks to them and these sort of initiatives and support is truly fantastic. I am truly thankful for everyone that made this possible and I can proudly say that I have taken the most out of it.
